How to improve mental health

 1. Exercise

Exercise has been proven to have many benefits on our physical health and mental health. It can help us lose weight, reduce stress levels, increase energy, and even lower blood pressure. However, exercise is not only beneficial to your body but also to your mind. A study published in the Journal of Sports Medicine showed that people who exercised had better concentration and memory than those who did not. This was due to the fact that exercising increases blood flow to the brain and helps oxygen get into the brain cells.

 2. Nutrition

Nutrition plays a major role in how fit we are mentally. A healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables can keep our brains sharp. Fruits like blueberries, strawberries, and spinach contain antioxidants that boost brain power. On top of this, eating foods high in omega-3 fatty acids can help prevent depression. Omega-3s are anti-inflammatory fats that promote brain function.

 3. Sleep

Sleep is another factor that affects our mental health. When we don't sleep enough, it can cause anxiety and depression. However, sleeping too much can lead to memory loss and other cognitive issues. Try to get at least seven hours of sleep per night. If you're having trouble falling asleep, try listening to white noise. White noise is sound waves that mask any outside noises. They create a relaxing environment that allows you to fall asleep faster.
